Department of Biopharmacy


 IS responsible for teaching and learning in basic pharmacology courses in biological pharmacology and related fields such as biochemistry, physiology, pathology and microbiology.

 At the undergraduate level, the department is responsible for the teaching and learning of basic health science courses covering, Fundamental Biology of Cell and Molecular level, Anatomy and Physiology, Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology, Pathology, both theory and practice. In addition, the curriculum also focuses on biological pharmacology and related fields, such as Bio-material, Biotechnology in Pharmaceuticals, Biological Drug Quality Control, and Nutrition and Nutrition therapy, etc.

 At the graduate level, the department offers teaching in pharmaceutical science at both the master's and doctorate levels. The department focuses on providing quality teaching and constantly updating knowledge.

Department History


 The Department of Biopharmacy was established at the same time as the Faculty of Pharmacy, Silpakorn University in 1985. The department has 4 missions: teaching, research, academic service, and the preservation of art and culture. The main mission of teaching and learning, the department is involved in educational arrangement of both undergraduate and graduate levels
 In research, the department supports and encourages faculty to develop research to create knowledge in biological pharmacology and related fields, as well as continuously disseminate knowledge of academic progress at both national and international levels
 As for academic services for the society, the department has conducted both the academic services at the faculty's drugstore “Baesach Sala”, organizing an academic conference, providing services for the detection of microbial contamination in products, and dissemination of knowledge to the public through the website of the department, etc.
 As for the preservation of art and culture, the department operates through the training of students in the classroom as well as participation in activities organized by the faculty or university, in order to achieve the objectives of the department to produce graduates with quality and valuable to society
